Thanks, Inge! It's actually the other way around with the dress outfit...sweater is over the dress. I actually also had the puffer, along with a black scarf on earlier in the day. It was cold in Colorado!
slim cat, I think I'd feel better with the skirt a little bit shorter, for sure.
Thank to shevia, torontogirl, and FashIntern.
RobinF, that blazer has been a bit of a difficulty for me. I really like it when I wear it, but it seldom feels right for my lifestyle.
lyn67, I was actually thinking 3-4" might not be enough! Mostly because I will never ever wear with heels.
nemosmom and racheylou, they have events for employees there a couple times a year. A lot of the attractions when they do it are more for families with small kids, but it's fun just to walk around a really historic lot.
Style Fan and kellygirl, the leather is so gorgeous, it's worth the weight, but it definitely makes more sense for car trips than for lugging around an airport (especially a huge one like Denver).
Joy, it sounds crazy, but I really miss wearing my snow boots!
Thanks kkards, I'm working on it!
suntiger, part of why it works it that dress is made of a nice, thick silk. It's great for summer because the cut lets it float away from the body, but it still layers really well and isn't too flimsy for cold temps.
Gigi, I was thinking I might go close to the length on the model or even slightly shorter for wear with sneakers and booties.
JAileen, yup, it was at like 90% humidity and sprinkling off and on, so the puffer was perfect.
