WIW : leather -look leggings

I wore these faux-leather front leggings for the first time today, and they provoked more comments than any outfit before.
I wore to church and then a family lunch at home.
An older friend commented that I was looking up to the minute, and family members noticed and seemed to be positive. Yes, it's hard to tell! My family are usually "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all "

The leggings are a relatively inexpensive experiment, so comments on fit would be helpful. Should I have them hemmed? Is there a PPL for these?

Very cool! I like them with the simple tunic dress.

If you have questions about length, it may be possible simply to turn them under to your desired length for a wear or two until you feel confident about where to hem them.

I have an ambivalent relationship with leggings of all kinds, to say the least (this is part of storied YLF history) -- but the one pair I have like to wear very sleek with no wrinkling at the knee or elsewhere. This is largely a function of length -- making them short enough so they don't buckle. I put them at the top of my ankle bone.

This is a great look. Love that tunic, simple and chic. It does look like they could maybe go up just a little. I agree with Suz, try folding them under and see how that looks.

Thanks, Suz. Given my short legs, I have turned these under already. I wonder if I make them shorter if that will improve the wrinkling at the knees. I think I initially bought a size larger than this, without trying them on, and then exchanged for this pair.
I might have to look up your leggings stories!

They seem to scrunch a little, maybe shorter would be best - I don't know a thing about leggings PPL though.

The length looks good but you might be right about shortening them a little and loosing the wrinkles. Fold them up a little more and see what you think. Great look and isn't Peter Morrissey doing some cool stuff for Big W?? I just picked up a knife pleat skirt in black on sale and am loving it.

Thank you all for those compliments. I will organise to get them hemmed. I have another pair of pants to take up, and I need to be realistic in that I am not going to get around to doing it myself.

Helen, my family is the same way! Since they never say anything I assume they don't like what I wear.

Your outfit is very nice. I especially like the shoes.

I like this look on you too! Just don't shorten them too, too, much. You want them to fit well into booties come cooler weather and not be riding up on your ankle and showing skin when you sit down.

JAileen, maybe they think you already know you look good! That's what I tell myself sometimes ; ) Complimenting someone's outfit doesn't happen much in my circles. I do try to give compliments , though, so thank you!
Good point, Lisap. I had been thinking of my long boots only so far. You know this is a tropical winter outfit, when it gets really cold here we have to close the windows!
Anne, I'd like to see Deborah's skirt, too. She has the knack of finding the best pieces anywhere. My brothers comment was "Are you wearing leather pants? Cool" . I'll take that as a compliment.
