Thanks for the kind words, Fabbers! It was fun reading after a miserable week at work. I’m surprised that the wide legs were a favorite. I liked them but wasn’t sure they were a slam dunk. I will put that one on repeat.
@nemosmom: Aww, thanks. I’m not giving up on the dress now that I know what a CHEMISE is. Sheesh. I could only find those spanx like bike shorts at the stores--what I was assuming was now called a slip.
@Angie: Thank you! I’m really enjoying browns again. Not sure what’s going to happen as I get more grey, but I’ll enjoy it for now.
@Cardiff girl: Lol. This weight isn’t heavy--but the number of repetitions get to you and makes you want to cry.
@lisap: Thank you. I don’t have the talent or determination for powerlifting. I just do CF casually. I have pair of coated leggings that I’m going to try next time so I don’t have to fuss with a slip.
@mirjana: Thank you. You are so kind!
@Tex: Thank you! I’m loving the browns like you these days!
@Torontogirl: Ha! Thanks. I’m not very strong but I can be determined. You’re right about variety. I am easily bored and like to have options--particularly when it comes to shoes. I wish I could be satisfied with a minimal wardrobe but I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon.
@Katerina: Thank you! 3 is my fave too. I have always loved ponchos but haven’t worn them much in the last couple of years. This one has a few scattered sequins on it that makes it a little more fun. I feel like this is one of the more flattering silhouettes on my body type. The downside is that it’s hard to find toppers for it so it only works on dry, not too chilly days.
@smittie: Thanks! I guess the dress works if the dress queen likes it. I will try again. Appreciate the love on the OTKs. I thought they were a little OTT at first but I’ve been wearing them at least twice a week and now I don’t give it a second thought!
@bonnie and taylor: Thank you!
@Aliceinwonderland: Thanks! I really admire your style.
@Brooklyn: Lol, thanks. I always feel like someone from Napolean Dynamite at the gym. Headband, tights, long socks...oy.
@shevia: Thank you for the OTK love
@robin: Thank you! Keep up the weight lifting. It’s empowering, isn’t it. Of course, don’t ask me to lift anything too heavy outside the gym.
@April and Catherine: Thanks!
@suntiger: Thank you. It looks heavier than it is. Thank you for the CHEMISE tip. I had no idea and just perused a bunch of potentials on line last night. That was exactly what I had been looking for and was somewhat bewildered that people are wearing spanx in lieu of an old fashioned slip. I can’t wait to get my hands on one to try out! Thank you so much!
@karen: Thank you! I’ll give it a try with brown boots next time. I think they might be too tall for the skirt thought--OTKs on me look better over jeans for some reason.
@chouette: Thank you. I miss your WIWs.
@hgr: Thank you. I’ll check out Commando too.
@Jules: What a nice thing to say. Thank you for chiming in. Happy that I might add some fuel to your lifting fire. Haha.
@bijou: Thank you. It’s a relief to have a uniform of sorts. A bad outfit doesn’t ruin my day but I feel more confident when I feel put together. Some days it feels like going into battle and the boots help!
@kkards: Thank you, fashion twin! I tried a couple leather belts but since most of them are jeans belts, they were too loose at the waist (always something, right.) I’m going to see if my daughter has any belts that might work--she is much slimmer and her hip belts might fit my waist.
