I am running late posting outfits from last week, so here they finally are. I was pretty busy this weekend with a close friend's engagement party that I ended up making three cakes for!
#1: This is actually from Monday 7/28, that I failed to post on that week. probably my tenth version of Ensemble: Olive and Pink, hope you are not sick of those on me by now
#2: Monday 8/4, flares and crossover blouse, based on Ensemble: Flared Jeans with a Crisp Touch
#3: Same day in the evening, trying a voluminous BR shirt dress with a slip on sneakers, based on Three Casual Ensembles with White Sneakers
#4: Tuesday 8/5, going for comfort in BF jeans, bug kitty tee and bomber
#5: Wednesday 8/5, yet another comfy outfit with silk track pants, based on Ensemble: Vest, Casual Pants & Peep-Toe Booties
#6: Same day in the evening, super casual dinner of linen tee and Athleta capris with the future bride and groom, planing logistics for the engagement part
#7/8: Thursday 8/7, an inverse color copycat of Angie's gorgeous blush and white outfit Summer Blush with Shades of White
#9/10: Friday 8/9, already posted, based on ensemble published that day
Ensemble: Sweater & Contrasting Tank
#11/12: Saturday 8/10, outfit for the engagement party. This is a silk top I had made back at home, featuring high neck, diagonal sleeves and high-low hem. The background is super dark ink blue with sporadic floral pattern in my favorite shades of teal and purple. The silk was very expensive but I fell in love with it and had to have it. I went with a very simple top design to let the pattern be the star.
#13: Sunday 8/11, post engagement brunch and walk in the zoo. Wearing a very old sundress and new sandals, inspired by Ensemble: Casual Summer Dress & On Trend Footwear
#14-#17, THE CAKES!
#14/15 is the main engagement cake, a fluffy marshmallow cake (#15 is stock photo, I forgot to photograph the cake cut)
#16 is an angel food cake with pink glaze, which is completely dairy free, as some guests were allergic to dairy
#17 is a poppy seed lemon cake, which I made mainly to use up all the yolks that were leftover from making #16.
