Hello YLF,

Life has been busy , lately I have been putting the Go on mom-on-the-go .Last week I wasn't able to take photos every day but the outfits missing here are repeat outfits with dresses from last year.

1- This is actually based on outfit Angie shared on the Fab Links from the other week.I was fairly happy with this outfit especially because the colors are more vibrant than appear here.

2- This outfit worked better in my head, still I had to try it.

3-First time ever tucking into skinny pants.Really loved this outfit.

4- Very casual me in our walk at the zoo this weekend. I saw this look recreated by various moms(and not moms ) there and some of them were fabulous casual outfits.It reenforced my opinion that even when you dress in a very casual way you can work with fit and color to make great outfits and casual doesn't have to mean you have to look like a slob.

There are all fab, and I think #2 in particular is great! (Where did you get that top? I've been looking for one with that cut that's heavy enough to drape properly, so far without success.) But maybe a different bag would be better with it? Something more background-y?

I am with you that casual can be great with attention to fit and color. I find it hard though - I feel like I look better in business casual even though I am casual casual most of the time.

I like the blazers in #1 & #2, and love your look in #3, it's very put together and yet non fussy for running around. At first glance I thought you had a scarf draped on a white T in #2, but its a top and it looks fab under the blazer! I'm a total sucker for well fitting jackets and you've paired them perfectly with your clothing.

A quick question though, do you take off the jacket or blazer when indoors but not at home, say at a friend's place, casual drinks with a friend or at your work desk? I often want to take off this layer, just to give myself more freedom to move my arms around, but suddenly find that the 'put togetherness' of my look when I stood infront of the mirror at home falls apart when I'm sans the jacket! And I love fitted structured jackets so it's always been an issue for me.

These are all great, but #4 is my favorite. That vest is perfect for fall and will look great with a turtleneck in winter!

@cinnamon fern, that was too funny. What I am holding in my hand is DD lunch box with strawberry shortcake :D, my bag was the red one in the other pictures. This is a knit cardigan that I bought at JACOB (a Canadian brand), I can wear it s a sweater or open it and wear it as a long cardi.

@JuneBug that is an issue I wanted to talk about and will open another thread because I want to ask other people how they do this.I do love a good blazer and will gladly wear them to assignments outside of the house without taking them off but not to a friends house(I work from home so that doesn't cause problem). However blazers that are thick I won't be able to wear indoors in winter because houses are too warm and outside is too cold.

You look fab in all 4 outfits! My faves are #3 and #4. The white down vest combined with the plaid shirt are both very fresh ways to interpret a classic casual outfit formula. And in #3, I love that drapey sweater on you. Also love the layering in #2, the interesting top plus blazer look great together.
