Hi everyone! I haven't posted any WIW photos for a few weeks, so I thought I'd try to catch up. I haven't taken that many outfit photos lately (and I need to find my camera because the light in the mirror selfies is becoming terrible now that fall is almost here), but here are a few outfits from the past couple of weeks. Now that summer is almost over I decided to wear a few items that I haven't worn much this season for whatever reason.
1-2: today's outfit. I haven't worn my tube skirts at all this summer (they felt too hot and constricting) but now that it's a little cooler I thought I'd wear one and see if I still liked them (which I do!). Paired with a hand knit tee and black oxfords.
3-4: a long black vest layered over a voluminous black top. These days I find this Allsaints top a little too hectically oversized, so now I only wear it with something over it (like this vest, or a jacket) to rein in the volume a bit. I swear this did not look soooo hip-emphasizing IRL the way it does in the photo!
5: a super casual outfit for weekend errands. This hooded tunic thingy is from a brewery that I like near my parents' hometown. I like that it's a longer length than your typical graphic tee.
6-7: handknit mesh top over culottes, with scarf in lieu of jacket because this top is hard to layer small jackets over.
8: top with hand knit lace yoke over a printed full skirt and gladiators. I also haven't worn this top much this summer. I like it a lot, but the lace yoke needs to be frequently ironed which I hate doing (I think you can see here that it's curling up a little on the edges and probably could use another pressing).
9-10: another item I hadn't worn at all this summer was this dress, because at the end of last summer I shrank it in the wash, which annoyed me enough that I didn't want to look at it for a while. =P But upon trying it again recently, I realized that although it's definitely smaller than it used to be it actually still fits OK.. the upper band is slightly tight but not uncomfortably so, and I don't think it shows.
