Hi Lovely Ladies,

I am missing spending my usual "heaps" of time on the forum, but full time hours finish next Tuesday...yay.

Both DH and I feel like we are fighting off a touch a flu and as such I'm feeling (and looking) pretty hagged today:(. But dropping into YLF always makes me feel good:)

Reading Ornella's post this morning really resonated with me (I am yet to comment Ornella but I will) as I have been contemplating some of the same thoughts. And as much as I love my layers, some days I just crave keeping things really plain and simple, hence today's outfit. No asymmetric hemlines, or multiple layers but I think this is still very me but maybe a bit more "no nonsense" lol.

Sorry to hear you and hubby are feeling under the weather - but you certainly don't look it And I totally hear you on some days just wanting to keep things minimal. This is a very sleek outfit.

How can you go wrong with a leather pencil skirt? Modern classic simplicity at its best. I'm dying to see it with a crisp white blouse, too! Stunning as always.

I love the clean, stripped-down lines of this, topped off by that one color-contrasted touch, the gorgeous, minimalist necklace which also counters the sharp angles of the clothes with its simple circular shape. Such a cool, intelligent, striking outfit.

Thanks so much ladies, glad you like:) And thanks for your kind thoughts, sorry to winge:( I hate feeling less than 'fantastic' and its that awful place of being well enough to go to work but not functioning at your best.

The sweater is a little larger than my normal size but I was reasonable sure that I wanted a fitted but still loose fit. It works well over the skirt because there the fabric of the skirt doesn't cause the sweater to cling, it just kind off drops.

Oh, this could be my favorite outfit of yours so far! I love that bit of bare knee and forearm. This is very pleasing to the eye. Simple bold necklace, and slouch over streamlined leather. Yes, I like it very much! Only you could look so glamorous while fighting off the flu. I'd be in yoga pants and fleece. Feel better soon Deborah, have a cuppa on me. <<>>

Gorgeous. The interest is from the mix of textures - the shiny leather bookends the necklace, the suede boots contrasts with the shine. Simple in the best way.
