Late to the post but I finally made it! I didn't think I could do a non neutral column of colour, since my wardrobe is so neutral heavy, but then I realized I have enough burgundy pieces to make a go of it.

We are back in a "circuit breaker" lockdown, so my plan to wear it to church fell through. Then today dawned with mild temps and significant rain, and suddenly boots with a short skirt made sense

Silky poly blouse, Joe Fresh. Boiled wool vest, thrifted last winter. Skirt, I have no idea of the provenance; it's very old. I might have inherited it from DD2, who wore nothing but burgundy all through middle and high school. Floppy hat H&M, kept the rain off. Boots, bought at Macy's? in Bangor early 2020, last US ski trip.

Pics taken at end of day so my side braid is rather unravelled. I did touch up my lipstick (Bistro Burgundy of course), rarely worn now because masks. I added a black short trench outdoors.

Usually I feel much too loud in bright colours, and uncomfortable in more than one at a time. But this outfit was surprisingly calming. Should I repeat?
