We had an important meeting at work today, so everyone upped their style game this Friday. When I was in NC with Tricia, we found some great sales at J.Crew. I have always loved sheath dresses, but can't wear them due to being a different size on the top and bottom. I took these two separate pieces into the dressing room, but when I tried them on, they became a dress! While the super nice sales associate thought I was brilliant, I didn't have the heart to tell him that I just needed to be wearing something on both halves to come out of the dressing room to show Tricia! Thus was born the happy accident. (A true bonus - I have already worn the skirt a couple of times with other tops!)
It was really hard to get the all black "dress" to photograph so that the details showed, and I think that the fit is more flattering in real life. It really is amazing. I have been trying to concentrate on buying better quality these days, so this purchase felt very good. And the price tag didn't hurt either (I walked out with both pieces for $65). I threw in a ghost head pic - this is what happens when I try to get close ups of myself in dark colors. I thought it was pretty funny!
Oh, and imagine my surprise to get online tonight and discover that I became a veteran when I wasn't paying attention. At least I was dressed appropriately.
