Work has been crazy busy with new responsibilities. We've had the Polar Vortex and the kids out of school for what seems the entire month. I've popped in when I can, commented on the fly but been a bit scarce. Here's my month so far in review.
1. Snow Day - working from home in my new fave BFs from H&M (I now see the allure of the 100% cotton), Sorel tivoli Camps and Uniqlo cashmere
In the cold I've found it actually easier to pair tights and skirts and tall boots for warmth at the office
2. Mixing Leopard and Argyle cashmere with bow blouse. Paired with new Paul Green Boots (divine comfort, almost black brown and a steal from the Rack)
3. Black and Blue: MK skirt, LL Bean blouse, Only MIne cashmere shell, J Crew BF jacket, Boden boots
4. Black and Bling: J Crew black jeans, Nordstrom cream cashmere, Lord & Taylor piped jacket, J Crew leopard blouse and necklace, Zodiac patent boots
I decided to try a monochrome week:
5. Blues: Navy Uniqlo sweater, J Crew Matchsticks, Blue Calvin belt, Banana Republic super bling necklace, Fergie blue booties
6. Camel: Jones pants, blazer, Gap sweater, Jessica Simpson wedges
7. Grey: BR pattern blouse, Halogen pants, Anne Klein jacket and booties, wacky sidekick
8 Blue and gunmetal: BR dress, MK belt, L&T blazer, Fidji G482 booties, stylish sidekick
9. Pearls and lace: Jones dress, Halogen cardi, giant pearl necklace, Munro boots, fun sidekick
10. Navy column with super bling: Boden boots, Jag jeans, Lands End Canvas sweater, BR necklace and hacking jacket - I was actually told if I had not had the necklace on I'd be boring. Hmm
11-12. My weekend formula - H&M BF jeans and sweaters with Crown Vintage boots. I guess I've started the pastel formula
Suggestions and comments always welcome (if you've even gotten this far) Hope you're all keeping warm (I did not show my snow shoveling outfit with 4 pairs of pants on)
