I am sorry to announce that I have left the thrift store gig. Well actually I am not sorry, except for the consistency of my WIWs. Nothing dramatic, the cost/benefit balance just no longer worked in my favor.
Anyway, I have cobbled together some cooler weather WIWs.
#1 - Not that interesting but actually represents one of my ideal formulas: top and bag by little known designers (Fausto Santini, vintage designer shoes (Dior) and jeans.
#2 - First coat I wore when I could wear a coat - bright pink vintage (60s/70s).
#3 - Vintage cropped jacket (Miss V Valentino), worn with old boyfriend jeans cuffed up and thrifted AS98 boots.
#4 Ta Da! My most exciting thrifted find in a while and I am sorry the picture does not do it justice. M Missoni, brand new condition, thrifted at a charity shop for $8. Bag was probably a mistake and I will restyle it soon and, I hope, get a better shot of its grape and turquoise amazingness!
#5 And to leave you with a little sunshine, here I am in front of a nursery buying winter flowers with DH and new driver DD1. Glad I am getting my hair cut today.
I do not see anything in these pictures that I didn't buy second hand, either thrifted at a charity shop or a second hand consignment shop.
All comments or questions welcome of course, and styling and color pairing suggestions for the coat in #4 especially. Thanks for looking!

#1, blew me away because the blouse is stunning on you and has a perfect support act - if this is your uniform, then bravo. What a find the Missoni coat is, such beautiful colours. You wear neutrals just as well as bright colours, all of these looks are amazing and speak to your signature style.

First, the bright pink in 2 and 5 is stunning on you. So happy looking! Love it with the bits of red in the last pic -- channelling Angie! And the coat in #2 feels very Jackie O.

Love the top in #1. You have such a knack for discovering those little known designers and giving them the kind of appreciation they deserve!

The Missoni of course is fantastic! What a score!

I am sorry to hear about your decision to leave the job because it might mean fewer in-store photos, and possibly fewer brilliant finds, but if it is the right thing for you to do, by all means, glad it's over!

I forgot to mention the name of the blouse in #1 is Liu Jo. (The bag is Fausto Santini.) I was attracted to the print, had never heard of the designer, but it turns out it is sold on sites like Farfetch. Good enough for me !
Lisa - As much as I found the thrift store cashier job a fascinating experience at first, and there was a steep learning curve, in the last few months it had become a drag. The pay was quite low and I recently made about two week's salary in 2 hours with a mini-sale at my home, so I think I will be using my thrift store energy to intensify my own re-sale biz.

Suz - You are so lovely, thank you! Actually leaving the store has led to many more brilliant finds - I really hesitated buying things from the place I worked although I was absolutely allowed to do so. The Missoni coat and a few other exceptional finds are all a direct result of more time to go to random thrift shops where I have no professional relationship.

It's FINALLY 'sweater weather' over here too, but I can't say I looked half as fab as you the first time I pulled on a topper today (it's almost like I've forgotten how to dress for winter - I went outside in 3 layers instead of a coat today - my UK self is ashamed, lol!)

Agree with Lyn that your hair steals the show though! I can only hope my curls look as fab & full when they all turn grey

Here's hoping the reselling goes well enough to make that a side gig instead (if that's what you wish).

I'm envious of your AS98 boots. I browse their offerings often. The Missoni coat is a FIND! Isn't jacket weather the best?

#3 = KILLER to the Power of KILLER. It's that short jacket combined with roomier bottoms that I like so much! I'm a sucker for shorter jackets. Jeans are an excellent fit. And the bright '60s earrings are sublime, adding a pretty glam playfulness to the look. LOVE!

Goodbye thrift store job, and hello new family driver! Never a dull moment....

Zaeobi - We must be on similar weather schedules. I love when it is just cool enough for a coat but no colder . Thank you for the hair wish - I get most of my in person hair compliments from young women!
Jenn - Yes! Like I said just above, jacket weather, without the biting cold, is truly wonderful. I actually own a few pair of second hand AS98 because they are distributed locally and I love picking them up. Very sturdy and interesting styles.

Thank you Jonesy! Truthfully most of my coats were pretty low cost - which why I can't stop collecting them. Thus the overabundance that I am now gearing up to share with others !
Angie - Thank you for your kind words! You said it - dull is not my problem right now. I am just now thinking that, despite our different styles, perhaps we both wear brights without the hesitation or self consciousness that people sometimes express. Brights seem natural on you and, I dare say, on me as well. Waiting for you to come borrow the pink coat!
