WIW: I've Got Mail! Chambray & Cognac

A few weeks ago I asked for help to order a couple of things from J Crew and have it shipped to me, and Meredith offered her assistance. Without delay, she ordered a chambray shirt and a cognac belt for me, and already yesterday the package arrived in my mailbox. I love the fabric and the shape of the shirt, and the color of the belt is perfect with my oxfords. Thank you, Meredith, for helping me get this!

I know that I don't have Emanuelle Alt's tall and slender frame, but I adore her nonchalant style and opted for a more oversized fit than my usual tailored style.

#1: I've paired the shirt with white jeans (can't get enough of them these days), the new cognac belt, cognac brogues and my stone Danier satchel (waving to the very best Shannon). The accessories are my men's watch, Wayfarers and some dainty jewelry.

I love the shirt in the size you got! In fact, I love the whole outfit, with the cognac. Chambray shirt + white jeans is a classic, and I like your cognac touches better than EA's black ones.

It is very difficult to order from the US with limited return possibilities since the postage alone is a fortune, so it better be right the first time. Meredith, there you are! Isn't it a bit fun to see this in action? I find so much I like in J Crew, but unfortunately the nearest one is in London, several hours by plane and train from Oslo. Thank you again for making this happen, I can't express my gratitude well enough.

The shirt looks dynamite on you - and the fit is great! I think the EA look is just a different treatment of the chambray and white : hers is more wintery and dressier (the black makes it so in my eye) and yours is a little more casual and fall-like. Goes to show you/us how much wear we can get out of these two classic wardrobe items.
