WIW: It doesn't get much easier than this

It's casual Friday so today's outfit for work is about as easy as it can get. Dark denim skirt, paired with my orange tee, my orange Born flats, an animal print tote handbag and one of my lighter coloured watches. That's it. Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated.

Does this outfit work? Anything you'd change? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome. Have a great Friday everyone!

BTW - sorry the picture is blurry. Gain was nudging the camera with his nose (he likes the timer beeping sound) and I didn't have time to take an other shot.

Looks great, simple and to the point. You can always add that necklace from yesterday, an animal print belt or patterned summer scarf, but it works as is for me. Sometimes I don't want to fuzz with accessories, the color makes it interesting enough.

I agree with Zap that a belt, necklace or bangle/cuff could be a nice addition, but the color and fit is great! I went simple yesterday -- jeans, printed knit top and orange sandals, and punched it up with my apple green bag -- so I totally get the appeal of simple!

It looks lovely being so simple and that handbag adds such a beautiful pattern. This is one of those outfits where you can add pieces like a nice crisp white jacket and strappy sandals and really dress it up or be cool and casual just the way you are wearing it now. Gorgeous color top!

I'll echo the others with thinking that your long gold pendant, some bold beads, or a leopard belt (but I can't keep the darn thing in place without belt loops) would be the icing on the cake -- should you want icing

Thank you all for you lovely comments and suggestions - you've given me lots of options with jewelry, belts, jackets, etc. so hopefully I can get a lot of wear out of these pieces.

MaryK - thanks for the comment on my figure! I actually haven't lost any weight in terms of pounds but now that my knee has healed and I'm back into running, I think there's some toning going on. Hopefully that will translate into pounds soon!

Very nice! Another strong and simple look - with the heat, the bag and watch are probably all you want to mess with, anyway. The statement shoes add a lot of visual interest as well.

Oh, I like the simplicity of this because each piece is strong and fab on it's own. The shot of color and the printed bag make me very happy. You could easily change this up by wearing your newly thrifted brown sandals, which would also look fab with that bag. But this is perfect, too!

I love it the way it is- perfect for casual Friday! I attempted a similar look this week, but the orange top I ordered was too tight and has to be returned. You're wearing those orange Born flats I love! Without evening knowing it, you've been my shoe mentor for several months now. I hate shoe shopping, but you've inspired several of my wishlist items and some of my recent purchases. I want to have a shoe collection like yours when I grow up- lol!

Jewell - wow! Glad to have been some inspiration - especially when it comes to shoes! What recent shoes have you purchased? My shoe wardrobe is one area that has expanded greatly since I joined YLF. I came to realize just how much impact shoes can have on an outfit.

I've added three pairs of shoes in the past month: the orange loafers (recommended by Angie), the python print peep-toe wedges from my wiw post today, and a pair of navy maryjane pumps so I can finally wear my silk floral midi next week.

Fantastic choices! I keep eyeing those orange loafers but I can't justify them since I have orange flats. And your python print wedges are gorgeous - that's a super versatile shoe. Looking forward to seeing the maryjane pumps with a silk floral - sounds delicious!
