WIW instead of what I Wanted To Wear, I deserved to look good

I am meeting a friend this afternoon for a coffee. We haven't seen each other for some time now -ok, maybe not so much, but still-, but because of her busy schedule she can only meet me for a couple of hours. So I was having that convo yesterday on the wasapp and I'm like (kidding):

Me: Whoa, I wanted to wear something nice but since you only give me a couple of hours of your time... I don't think you deserve it!

Friend: Hey! But YOU deserve it! And if you feel like it, why not?

I really liked her answer because she was right, we all deserve to look nice, right? So I wanted to look nice today... but the weather wasn't Wanted to wear the H&M floral dress I posted a few days ago but I don't think it's the right day for that. So instead I'm going with an easy formula:

Navy pants, striped baggy tee -sooo comfy, cobalt blue shoes, denim blue jacket... mustard bag and pink scarf with blue birds.

i don't even like blue that much, but I've been discovering lately that it really suits me.

That is a terrific outfit, and yes, you DO deserve to look nice! You had me at the blue and the stripes, but I love that cheeky scarf and slouchy bag. The pink and mustard are really fun together. And you look amazing in those jeans!

That is a really terrific outfit - still casual but obviously some nicely chosen details and vivid colors and pattern mixes that show the world you are worth it And you ARE.
I like the pink, blue and yellow together a lot!

That scarf is so whimsical. I love it. I like all the components of this outfit. I think I would like it even better if the striped top were just a smidge longer. The proportions look just a little off to me.
