I was inspired by today's blog post to put together my own texture-rich winter outfit. This is loosely inspired by the tweed skirt ensemble from today's post, although I put my own twist on it.

So, from the ensemble I took the idea of a tweed skirt (although mine is a mini) and a draped faux suede topper (mine is actually an older mixed media version of the same KUT jacket Angie put in the ensemble). I kind of did my own thing after that though. Since I don't wear fur, real or faux, I instead chose to add some soft fuzzy texture with a silk mohair hand knit lace scarf. It is not photographing well - it's much more fuzzy and lightweight, not to mention a more true orange color (it looks kind of tomato here and it's really tangerine) in real life. The taupe boots provide some scrunchy distressed leather textures, and my coat and outdoor scarf are also textured.

It's hard to photograph all the textures, especially with my phone and the poor winter lighting. I think you can kind of get a better idea with the last close up photo...
