I was so smitten with Inge's "Outstanding Outfit Bloggers" post on "The Classy Cubicle," that I immediately wanted to do my best, with what I had, to copy one of Mary's outfits.
I have since ditched the cognac pumps, because they were too uncomfortable for me (on the hunt for a comfortable nude pair no more than two inches) so I switched to my nude flats and my feet were happy. I loved her high-necked cable sweater/jumper, but it's no longer available at Zara. My outfit consists of the J. Crew navy and green-striped silk popover shirt, skinny jeans, Gap navy crew neck sweater and nude Nine West ballet flats. When I went out, I wore a navy pinstripe blazer. At some point, I'd also like to replicate Mary's citron-jacket-with-navy-column-of-color outfit that was in Inge's article.
The cream Banana Republic jeans (finally found a petite and returned the regulars) are what I wore the next day. I added my Equipment shirt, snakeskin belt, red pointy J. Crew flats and cream Aldo bag (which seems to get more attention than anything and was an Angie pick a couple of years ago).
From the articles to the Forum, I'm getting lots of inspiration. Thanks for taking a peek.
