I found this sacky t-shirt dress at the Gap... it runs huge so I got the smallest size. It has pockets and is uber-comfy! Worn with tights from H&M (H&M saved my life in Boston!) and boots from Yoox that have not been worn often enough.

This entire outfit may be completely off, so please feel free to tell me so. Also you can see my grow-out - yikes!

Speaking of the hair thing - I did a search the other day for "before and after going gray" and it was really interesting to see that a lot of what I found, I preferred the natural look to the person's previous dyed look. There were a few exceptions but mostly due to the style of the hair an makeup, etc.

Oh, I really like htis. The boots and tights make a great unusual "column" of leg. We're used to that in black, not grey! And I'm also tempted to check out that dress... comfy dresses are really appealing to me these days.

And I found the exact same thing as textyle when I started investigating growing out my dyed hair.... The "afters" almost always looked more vibrant, healthier, and yes, younger. But that's hard to imagine when you're just looking in the mirror at the before, and have no idea what the after might be.

I love this look. It looks casual and appealing. I love the gray tights; much better than the conventional black with this color blue. Your "grow out" looks intentionally edgy. I quite like it. I'm attempting to grow mine out as well, but my hair started shorter and I'm growing it for length as well as to get to the natural color. So I'm not sure whether I'm unhappy due to the color, or because it's at that horrid "not short but not long" stage where it does basically nothing.

Thanks ladies! This dress gets really good reviews at Gap. Some people apparently belt it but that's not for me. It's really swingy but the fitted sleeves help with a tiny bit of structure.

Also thank for the hair notes! I asked two people I really trust to give me their honest opinion IRL, and both said to go for it so gritting teeth and forging ahead. So far it's silvery which I'm enjoying but once it frames my face we may be in different territory.

A funny story about comfy clothes: this Sunday I accidentally wore my PJ bottoms to work! I had my Joie Tambrel sweater on and was going to change into a pair of pants that were in the laundry room downstairs. But it was 5 AM and I got distracted by feeding the cat and other things and completely forgot to change. Luckily they are just plain grey yoga pants and did not look too odd, plus it was a weekend when no one would be seeing me. Still, this is an unexpected pitfall of getting used to comfortable workwear!

Oh, I love it all! I'm always very partial to that shape of dress but when ever I try it myself I don't feel right. I will either have to persevere or just enjoy on you Fab boots and hair looks good.

Well I might be a little biased but I think you look amazing. I love the tshirt dress and the grey is a brilliant accompaniment. What boots are they? They are just stunning. Una I love how your hair is growing out - does your hair grow fast?. I think your natural hair colour is going to become a major signature of your style. I am envious My stylist says I am only approx. 10% grey so no point thinking about it yet. BTW, you are one of few people who can make colour look edgy.
