Thank you Suz! (Tragically these tights have a run in the thigh; I’m hoping the clear nail polish & my preference for longer hemlines means they’ve got at least another season in them.)
AG, hats are some of my favourite things to knit! Especially with bigger yarn; they go so fast. And they’re so useful.
Astrid, I have to admit, I don’t associate cute little heels with winter looks! Although I suppose autumn can be a different story, as long as it’s dry out. The hat was like a walk in the park after knitting the socks, it went so quickly! lol My first knitting project was a hat: you should try it, it can be addictive.
Thnx RetailGirl!
Jeanie, I’ll try to get pics of my Thistle costume up soon! I did take them. The hat’s in Cascade’s burgundy colour in case that helps! And yes, the fall leaves are such delicious colours.
Thank you Jackie!
Thank you Angie! I’m doing a mental twirl in my new crown (I’m imagining a little tiara with pearls), hehe. Thistle definitely ups the amusement factor of the photos; I never notice her at the time, so when I crop the pics it makes me laugh to see what she’s been up to!
Alasse, I would *love* to start using forest/pine green (as described
here) as a colour-neutral, but I haven’t been able to find anything in the right shade in years of thrifting. Sigh. Greens (vs blue-greens) are tricky for me; they can veer into spring or autumn territory so quickly and when I come across ones that are cool enough they’re often too saturated. But hope springs eternal! Maybe once I’m making more of my wardrobe I’ll be able to add some of that colour to the mix.
Thank you Amiable!
Thnx Columbine!
