I enjoyed doing this challenge! Even though I didn't do it every day, it was fun to break up the monotony of the this long, cold, and snowy winter.
Here's Ingunn's calendar Style Inspiration in January and here's WIW last week:
Borrow from the men: An extremely loose interpretation of this! The gingham button-down is what I "borrowed." Mine is a women's shirt (Gap), but I saw one exactly like it in the men's dept. at Old Navy recently. And men wear denim jackets too, right? Granted, they don't usually wear pencil skirts and leopard print pumps, but remember..."loose interpretation" The denim jacket (American Eagle) was an Angie pick from a year or more ago and remains one of my favorites to this day.
Layer two shirts: White button-down and chambray button-down. This is actually an FFBO when worn with the lighter wash version of the denim jacket in #1 instead of the chambray. I like it this way, though, and this challenge was the kick I needed to mix things up a bit.
Unstuffy turtleneck: I posted this one already, but I forgot to mention I'm wearing the necklace from my secret santa Ornella! I was complimented on it throughout the day, and it was fun to tell people it was from "a friend of mine in Germany."
Thanks for the challenge, Ingunn!
