WIW: in which I wish for magical handbags (reality vs. fantasy)

In my fantasy life, the weather is always cooperative, all shoes are magically 100% comfortable, and I have Hermione's Undetectable Expansion Charm for my handbag. Oh, and my legs are always perfectly waxed, LOL.

#1: The reality. Tall boots and a jacket because it's still too chilly and grey for a long expanse of bare leg and a chiffon blouse. The boots are also comfy for a day at work and commuting, plus they cover up my unwaxed legs. Finally, my big black tote is necessary for carrying my laptop, lunch, and other assorted things.

#2: Fantasy version. In this world, it's 75º and sunny! The pointy gold shoes are pretty comfy actually but not for a whole long day (I'd call them 4 hour shoes.) I don't own any truly impractical shoes anymore. The bag is bigger on the inside, clearly. And you can't see the leg hair in this picture, so let's pretend it's not there.

You cracked me up, Diana, LOL! Love your (shoewear and bag) challenged outfit, and trully understand your points of using nr 1, instead of nr 2. But YLF no matter which!

I'm right there with you wearing boots instead of pretty shoes! No shaved legs yet, plus it's snowing here today! Again! I think this will put us in first place for snowfall in the U.S., not that it's a record to brag about.......

Funny! I think they are both nice outfits. I understand the need for comfy shoes and a bigger bag though. I didn't have time to think about this challenge over the weekend but you and the others doing it today are giving me lots to think about.

Oh, both are fab - the pointy gold flats are amazing. Do we see you in brown very often? I'm not recalling a lot of it in your wardrobe, but this is a really nice look on you.

Yes, both outfits, but especially fantasy looks great, and too bad it's not warm enough yet.

Ha, Una. I actually hate brown and don't wear it much. (I think it's flattering on me, I just don't like it. It's my least favorite color.) The skirt for some reason doesn't bother me though, maybe because it is a wool tweed, so it's not quite so flat brown IRL. The boots are also lighter and more cognac IRL. I also have one other pair of brown boots that I am trying to wear more, and a few other mostly orphaned brown items.

That is what I thought! I am not a big fan of brown either but you've done a good job here!

in my fantasy i apparate to and from work, so that i get 45 minutes more to get dressed each morning!
anyway, here's hoping that the weather warms up soon and you can wear verision #2, althought i like #1 alot.

There is barely a difference between the two looks. You lucky fish - you are just about living your Fantasy Style - weather permitting of course. Boston weather can be brutal.
