My plea 'guilty'

My defense 'the mini heatwave...I'm not used to hot weather dressing..my lord'

*sobbing* 'I hope you do not despair Angie'

In all honesty, I had a casual girls night out planned and my trousers are PPL for flats only, as time ticked on I realised I really wanted to wear the heels a FABulous forum member sent to me, so I rolled and rolled the hem and then skipped out of the house.

and now...looking at the evidence...what was I thinking? I look like I have just waded out of the nearest loch and then added (great) heels.

While this may not look great on everyone, you have great legs and it works. I like that the shoes are a pop of color and tie into the turquoise of the top. I might have rolled them to narrow a bit but I think it works and is a pretty look for a very hot day.

Jules, I think you are to be forgiven for this one. First of all, you 'fessed up. Second, it was an unintentional faux pas due to overheating in the midst of a very stylish run of outfits from you recently (witness the fab red Boden dress). Everything I've seen from you lately has been stellar. We all have those *palm face* moments!

Also, I think you carry it off amazingly well. With your long legs, you can get away with a lot. Love the fun shoes, too.

I don't think it's as bad as all that really. Lovely shoes and you look fantastic in the tank and have such style that it looks fine. And good for you for enjoying a night out!

Love the tank! The rolled pants may not be "ideal," but adapting an outfit to fit the needs of the moment is classic YLF! And you are rocking that partial tuck!

You are too funny! I got some flak for rolling my pants too! I think it would have looked better if it was rolled up higher to the knee and narrower. Where did it fall unrolled? I agree with Anna, maybe it would have looked better rolled to the ankle like pegs. Cute tank and killer shoes!

You know what, the first thing I thought was "man, Julie looks fantastic in white trousers!!". Then: "love the shoes";-), then: "I love how modern, fresh, elegant and very much in keeping with your romantic side this entire look is". To summarize: I think you look fantastic!!

P.S. I hope you had fun with the girls. And indeed, I'm not used to dressing for these temps anymore either:-)
