It's very cold here and I'm not feeling up to par (although I feel 100% better than I did yesterday now that I've been medicated for a bad case of shingles) so I wanted something soft and cozy. This flannet shirt and merino sweater really did the trick. And I am loving my high rise flared jeans. The sneakers are ancient but I love how they pick up the plaid!

After I got dressed I realized this is exactly what I wore in college in the late 70s! Only difference is we tucked in the shirt so the shirttails didn't show! So funny!

And although my comment on today's blog post says I don't really do the "essentials" analysis, certainly these J Crew thin sweaters in every color (long sleeve and short sleeve) are essentials in my current wardrobe, as are jeans in a few silhouettes, along with ankle pants in every color. And earrings. And, these days, loafers and sneakers, surprisingly after spending a lifetime in pumps. Go figure.
