I don't commonly post WIWs, and these certainly aren't fancy, but we spent the last week in DC. It was unbearably hot and humid, but it was a great experience for the kids. The black tank I am wearing in photo #3 is Eileen Fisher, and I adore it. I bought it at Saks Off Fifth for a steal, and will look into other EF pieces because of this. The shoes are Birkenstocks (the only shoes I had that are comfortable enough to wear for that much sightseeing!).
As for other people, we obviously saw many other tourists, since we were tourists ourselves. It goes without saying that they were dressed casually, mostly with sneakers. The Indian women I saw were without doubt the best dressed in their gorgeous saris and salwar kameez. I also saw many maxi dresses, but almost no high-low hems anymore.
ETA: I haven't a clue why photo #2 loaded sideways. It is upright in the photo folder I loaded it from.
