The armpit of summer has arrived early this year. NYC is even worse, and at my sister’s in Ga, it’s *only* 90 or so. We’re all upside-down here.

Worn today for a dental appointment and some errands. The absolute coolest, lightest dress I own. I could live in this thing all summer, I swear. It’s got a deep neckline but I just live with it.

Sandals and tote are both 10+ years old and still favorites. Well-made pieces!

Perfect dress for the weather! It looks amazing on you, and I love the metallic sandals and tote!

We, too, have ridiculously high temperatures. For the past three days, we were in the mid-90s, and last night we had a "cool front" move through. That brought us down to the upper 80s, with a drenched landscape, so the humidity is through the roof. Just miserable.

What a beautiful dress! What icky weather. Our son lives in Baltimore so I always look at the forecast for them, and for today or tomorrow it’s 104F.

Surprisingly, we had cold weather this past weekend. Our low Sunday morning was 36F. Very strange.

3rd day of heat warnings. 32degC feels like 41degC - that’s 105degF!!

There was a pleasant breeze off the lake when DH and I did Tai Chi on the beach this morning, but during morning errands it was blistering hot, and I was drooping by the afternoon.

My “tropical” holiday right now is much cooler than that, but it is winter here still, just much closer to the equator.

My keys to staying cool in the Arizona heat are to be mindful of fabric selection (I prefer cotton by far) and to wear breezy, floaty pieces that don’t cling or impinge. A cool color palette doesn’t hurt, either. Your dress seems well suited for the high temps and manages to look good, too.

Perfect dress for the heat. Also super hot today here on the Black Sea, cotton dress weather! Not my favourite either. 34 Degrees C today, 36 tomorrow with an extreme heat warning through out the country. I believe we are the coolest by the sea.

Thanks, all you lovelies! I simply cannot hike in weather like this, which is annoying since I want to keep up fitness this summer. But Pilates and indoor machines help, and I get in some laps in the pool a few days a week. But that’s hard on my hair, so I don’t swim everyday (I have a cap but find them bothersome). Ah well! Much more concerning are the long term implications of all this heat, so early in the season. I fear we are only in for more.

I so enjoy wearing that dress. My dentist complimented it — she always notices things like that and once joked she was going to steal my Bao Bao bag. I may take it with me to France, for my friend’s birthday dinner in Paris. It packs down very small and light and doesn’t wrinkle.

We were in the upper 90's here in Michigan last weekend, cooling off the the upper 80's this week No AC in our 1949-era house but we make do with window units. I figure if I can get a good night's sleep that is half the battle. But the heat really isn't conducive to getting anything done that is for sure! And I don't look nearly as good as you in my loose shorts and sleeveless shirts!
