Thanks, Fabbers! Getting dressed for work has certainly got a lot easier for me. Whatever self imposed rules I had are pretty much non-existent now—within reason, of course. I've been rotating in some golden oldies. I've purged at least two garbage bags of things--trying to dress my menopausal body! (That's official now, finally!) I'm not sure if that's a thing or just result of a lower activity level. It has been a struggle to fit in exercise but I’ve adopted the “something is better than nothing” approach. It’s been a big adjustment for me but it’s also been good in that it helped me recover from some over training issues.
@Bijou: Thank you! I’m fortunate that my parents aren’t demanding—work, however, is. I do what I can but hard to not worry.
@rachy, minaminu, chouette, Brooklyn, Karie, Aquamarine, Murph, Zaeobi, kkards, nemosmom, Angie, and slim cat: Thank you! Glad that you enjoy my photo dump. DD2 is home taking a summer class so she’s available to snap a pic when I get home from work most days—not exactly fresh but at least real! I never thought I would wear sneakers with everything but those Eccos are my life! I’m already contemplating my next pair. The pink Cole Haans are nice but not nearly as comfortable. Sandals have definitely taken a back seat. @Zaeobi: The hoodie is JCrew. It’s a couple of seasons old but it’s a perfect weight for air conditioning. I get a lot of use out of it.
Thanks again for all of the kind comments and reassurance!
