WIW: I feel like a J. Crew catalog

Happy Friday, all! I'm actually wearing REAL LIPSTICK today!

Casual (half)Friday in the (already casual) office.
1) Full outfit
* sheer black s/s blouse w/ weensy red polka dots (thrifted)
* black tank shell, under (thrifted)
* AE Original Straight (AE Denim sale)
* pewter snake print oxfords
2) Blouse detail (I love those wee polka dots! There's something about this blouse that makes me feel very 50s greaser girl)
3) Jeans + shoes
4) Shoe detail
5) I added a utility jacket for the office, just in case I needed a layer for warmth. Black felt too heavy with the black blouse (and far too formal for the day/outfit) , and my usual raspberry won't work here. I don't have much red in my wardrobe, overall, so balancing this is difficult.I guess I could've gone with a red cardigan, but I felt like I wanted the structure of the utility.

Ditto on the "thing for shoes" - those are gorgeous. I actually like the choice of jacket although to be honest, it's hard to tell how the proportions with the jacket are being that we only see the top half of you in that picture. Gorgeous lip color!

I actually have over 100 pairs. It's... A Serious Thing. (My honey also tells me there is no such thing as too many shoes, so who am I to complain? LOL!)

Great shoes! I have a similar amount of shoes. I don't feel guilty since I wear most of them pretty regularly, except the really fancy dressy occasion ones. I love the jacket and really can't tell what the proportions are like. Maybe it's a touch short? Hard to tell in the photo.

Pawprints - I went through a SERIOUS brogues & oxfords phase earlier this year. I think it's a throwback to the 90s, when I loved wearing wingtips, but couldn't ever find them in my size. Thank goodness J. Crew has been championing them lately, so they're easier to find now

FWIW: most of my jewelry is the same, always. I have 20 piercings in my head, 18 of which are in my ears, and 16 of which almost change (on the rare ocassion, I will put something in the very bottom most earring holes, but typically, they are blank. The rest stay in all the time.). Aside from that, I have a watch and a cuff that I always wear on either wrist, this necklace, and several rings that have sentimental value and rarely come off (each hand has its own handmade custom ring on the middle finger and what appears to most as wedding sets on each ring finger, for a total of 6 rings on 4 fingers).

Whenever I list it all out, it seems like a lot, but I don't feel like they are busy or overdone, so I don't worry about it too terribly much
