Thanks for confirming my PB hiding skilz. I learned all those tricks here. The funny thing is, I just discovered PB this year. I’ve always kind of turned my nose up from it--preferring plain dark chocolate. My weakness is the Dove dark chocolate square with the PB topping. OMG, so good. Thankfully, it is seasonal. Glad to hear I’m not the only one carrying around some holiday goodies
@Karie, Caro, Adelfa, Ceit, Aquamarine, Shevia, Aubergine, Joyce B, E, and Alicat: Thank you!
@Firecracker: My hair is getting coarser and wavier as I get older. It is quite naughty some days unless I tame it with a round brush and blow dryer. Some days even that doesn’t tame it! Thanks for the thumbs up on the handknit. I’ve been making an effort to wear some of my knits and being more careful about what I make (instead of making it because it looks good on someone else!)
@Cathy: Lol! Thanks! I really liked 1 too. It’s the first time I’ve worn a scarf in a long time. It’s been so mild lately and they seem so fussy. I ended up tying the corners together and making it infinity shaped--much easier to wear. I will be trying that again, I think. Glad that blue/brown worked. That’s the kind of no fuss outfit I’m drawn to--just have to make sure that it doesn’t look too boring.
@El Cee: Thanks. I loved Angie’s post about citron and burgundy and really wanted to try it. I would never have thought to pair those colors on my own!
@Suz: Thanks. Angie’s posts are so helpful aren’t they. It takes me awhile to try them sometimes but it really helps break up the monotony of my uniform. To answer your questions: Yes, the taupe fleece is the Bobeau. I got it last year and usually wear it layered under my brown poncho. I bought the Medium. It’s a good indoor weight for my climate or outdoor in mild weather. (Sometimes inside is colder than outside.) Most of these were worn as is--sans coat. I did end up wearing the lemming Spiegel over the citron stripes. We’ve had an unseasonably warm winter to date. Normally, I’d pop my trench coat over most of these.
