WIW: Hot Pink & Doggie Face Sweater

I think my random decision last week to have my nails painted fuchsia pink/purple subconsciously has effected my outfit decisions this week (and I actually am considering a "We go to 11" bang! pow! pink ensemble for dinner out tonight).

Yesterday I put a casual/quirky spin on an outfit that I might normally have gone more traditional with.

Hmmmm, hot pink silk blouse and simple black trousers.

Traditional pairings would be structured blazer and black slingback pumps.

Nahhhhhhh, let's up the quirky and casual factor by going with gray and brown booties, a super quirky vintage doggie face sweater and bomber jacket.

Yeah. That's better.

Gray/Black plaid fedora: Roxy (thrifted)
Pink silk blouse: Dana Buchman petite (thrifted)
Dog face angora tank sweater: Vintage Moschino (via NYC consignment store years ago)
Gray snakeskin belt: Vintage (thrifted)
Black slim leg trousers (cuffed once): Banana Republic Hampton fit
Gray wool and leather ankle booties: Rachel Comey (via ebay NIB for a song. Woot!)
Earrings: Victorian era gold and moonstones (via ebay)
Ring: Victorian era gold and cameo (via ebay)
Ring: Vintage onyx and gold signet ring (via consignment store years ago)
Gray leather Bag: Marc Jacobs Petal to the Metal Sasha (via Zappos)
Leather bomber jacket: DSquared2 (via Zappos)
Sunnies: Vintage cat-eyes (via flea market)

Another fab outfit with some striking pieces. Love the sleeveless sweater. It's more of a subtle and less representative design which I love. Those booties are awesome btw. Nice mani too!

love the pink and that sweater! actually I think I prefer it without the jacket, although I love the jacket shape and how it encloses the sweater a bit. Even though the doggie is much more foregrounded that way, I like the cohesiveness of the gray accessories/shoes with the black and pink.

ETA: the jacket does go great with your hair

I can't get over how much I love this, even though the booties are the only part of it that I would actually wear (and those I would steal right off of your feet if we wore the same size). I think that I love it so much because it is so great on you, and not for me. This is one of the things that I love so much about this forum - I can live vicariously through stylish ladies like you!
