Hello lovely ladies. I'm still alive despite the kind of sticky, hot weather that makes me want to relocate to a polar ice cap. On a particularly sweltering evening when I headed out for an impromptu ice coffee date with a friend, this is what I chose to wear.
This dress felt too skimpy when I first tried it on, but I've obviously lost some weight since then because it no longer gapes open at the bust. In weather like this, the amount of skin I'm showing no longer feels excessive, but please do tell me if I've misjudged this. The green, pink, orange and ivory print sounded cute when it was first described to me, but I'd welcome your perception of it. The fabric is silky and light while still feeling substantial enough to drape. And the black trim along the shoulder straps and crossover neckline prompted to me to break out some old, rarely used black summer accessories. I'm hoping that simple slingback sandals and the sparkly beads work with this. They're both feather light, so there's that.
