WIW: Halloween colors, big scarf, and BF-light.

Getting ready for Halloween, so I got out my orange and black to go run a few errands.
The boyfriend jeans look is just not for me, but I hated to be totally left out of the trend, so I'm wearing my slightly slouchy skinnies as "BF jeans light".
The sweater is a boxy super-soft cashmere one with a high-low hem that I just love, and will probably be wearing constantly all winter.

I'm thrilled about the big scarf trend, because I love them, and have several big cashmere/ silk squares that I'm always happy to wear. This one is pictures of Mexican dancers as seen from above.

I added my orange crocodile "dog collar" bracelet, an oversized tortoise watch, a slouchy leather tote, and leopard booties just for fun.

Does this work? I hope it's not age-inappropriate, but I felt happily comfy-casual.

I love this outfit! The jeans are perfect on you. So many details to keep the visual interest going! Love the Halloween theme, and the scarf is so interesting with the top down perspective on the dancers--very creative! Love the leopard booties and tortoiseshell watch and orange studded collar bracelet. And your granddaughter is just adorable!

Fantastic! I'm not sure what's bf lite about this though, looks like a more fitted bf if that's what you mean. The roll, the skin showing, those are both squarely in bf territory.

The boots are extremely comfortable. I do have narrow-ish feet, so YMMV.

The scarf is just a big square, folded on the diagonal, then lightly twisted, looped twice around my neck, and with the ends tied together and tucked underneath in the back.
Much easier to do than to explain!

Denise, You're right: I think the distinction is kind of blurred between BF jeans and slouchy skinnies, especially rolled as I have here. I should specify that I just haven't liked how I look in the baggier BF jeans, like the Gap sexy boyfriends- I find them way too baggy and unflattering on me. But these I feel much more comfortable in.

Rae, the cashmere/silk blend is very lightweight and comfortable to wear indoors. Occasionally if I get really warm I just untie it and let the ends drape down in front for a while and it still looks OK like that.
