@slimcat: Thank you. You reminded my about my leggings with the slits--I had actually put those away last winter after deciding they really weren’t my thing. I pulled them out and wore them Saturday for lounging and grocery shopping. I don’t think I’d wear them with the booties--they skew too casual. I tried the booties with the jeans but the hem was getting caught up on the shaft. I’ll have to try with my cropped flares. I’ll also try with the sloans but I think they might be too fitted at the ankle. Will definitely report back on that and no apologies necessary. I’m inexperienced when it comes to anything outside my casual wheelhouse. ( Added the leggings outfit to give you a visual.)
@Karie: I hope my cropped wide legs will work with them. I have a feeling they might be too short--they’re almost culottes. Will have to experiment!
@Bijou: Thank you! They do bookend my highlights and they’re so much softer than black and unexpected. They are definitely the dressiest boots I own. Even my OTKs are more casual--suede or very rustic/western. Thank you for the kind compliments on my dress collection too.
@kkards: Thank you. I did try them with the BF jeans. I should have tried them with my straights--I have one pair that will probably work. Excited to give that a try.
@Angie: Thank you! The two floral dresses that were your picks are my absolute favorites. I was able to find the long sleeve in store when I was doing a return as it was sold out on line. I feel great when wearing it. It’s going to be a winter work horse!

@Torontogirl: Thank you. That absolutely makes sense. I’m trying to stay away from black footwear for precisely that reason. I prefer lower contrast these days and fluid fits. I try not to buy oversized tops--I can definitely wear a medium but I usually stick to small at BR. The small has enough ease that it looks fluid and that’s my preference--my shoulders are the controlling factor though. An XS may fit my torso but I won’t be able to raise my arms...
