I was not feeling inspired this morning so I was happy to see Angie's suggested grey, citron, and white ensemble on the blog! I actually don't own much citron (although I have a lot of acid green, which is a similar feel) but my citron-tipped grey Academy blazer is pretty much made for this ensemble. Paired it with a cream handknit top (not much true white in my wardrobe either), skinnies, and grey patent boots.

So Susie's thread this morning about how we respond to "different" looks resonated with me as I was wearing this outfit, because I feel like it's too classic! I actually wanted to wear a sheer white pintucked, flowy blouse, a much artier choice, but I didn't really want to freeze to death. The cream sweater I ended up wearing actually doesn't look so classic by itself (it has puffy cap sleeves) but under the blazer it seems to be reading as a classic henley shape. Curious what you think. On the one hand, it does feel rather too classic for me, but on the other hand I feel like it's true to the "eclectic" part of my style that I can sometimes be a style chameleon.

Gap Academy blazer, handknit top, Vince jeans, Gap? belt, and Naot boots.
