What I love about this outfit are the EF "Slouchy Ankle Pants" in silk georgette. They are super comfortable, stylish and have great slant pockets. Also, after wearing all day, they still looked perfect. Don't you hate when pants start looking baggy around the knees? For size reference, I wear a size US 12, and I bought these in Medium.

Love the Nic & Zoe linen jacket. Also kind of a slouch feel.

Love the little sterling silver "Antler" necklace I picked up at my favorite shop in Sheridan, WY.

What I didn't love...the shoes...well I love these Sam Edelman shoes, just not with these pants. Would a shoe with an ankle strap look better?

I love the outfit. I tried those pants on once and yeah, they were fantastic.

For the shoes - I see what you mean though it's not bad. I think you're right that an ankle strap might bridge the gap between foot and pants hem. Or, chunky flat (or heeled) black sandals might add some weight that balances with the rest of the outfit.

You look very hip that jacket is very becoming on the fit of it is pretty amazing is it comfortable? I not sure about the shoe I like it with the outfit.

Lovely outfit and what a unique necklace! I think the shoes are fine but the look could be even better with ankle straps. Looking forward to seeing that version also.

Great outfit on you, and I LOVE that necklace! I have these pants too- and find I prefer them on me with a bit of a heel - so yes, I agree that something with some visual weight or an ankle strap would work really nicely. Jacket is really nice - I love slouchy linen too .

What about your Earth brand sandals with the pants?? The flats add a bit of classic to the look and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
I think we too often are seeking to make an outfit look like what we have seen in magazines, on Pinterest etc and we stop giving ourselves permission to make a look ours.

I love this outfit! My black slouchy pants work the same way and look fresh from the start of the day to the finish.

Thanks again ladies...and Deborah...I agree that the Earth shoes will be the next ones to try. And my calf hair SE Ocala ankle strap pumps (but those shoes are not comfortable for me to walk around in all day for work).

I ended up changing out of these flats before I left the hotel room and into some plain black flats because when I opened the drapes it was POURING down rain and I didn't want to ruin the cuter shoes...didn't like the plain black flats either, so a more dramatic shoe is definitely in order.
