It's cold (again) today -- well, by Northern California standards anyway -- and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try winterizing my favorite green ponte knit dress. I've paired it here with a black UniQlo layering tee, fleece lined tights, boots, and a scarf. I threw my distressed leather jacket on top of it all (pic 2). In hindsight, I think I should have gone with either a more cropped jacket or a longer coat. Oh well.
The colour combination is a little Green Lantern, I know, but in my world, channeling a superhero is a feature, not a bug :). That said, my first choice of scarf was a black pashmina which I replaced with a lighter green that's a little less Green Lantern and a little more evocative of spring.
What do you guys think? How did I do at winterizing the dress? I have included a picture (pic 3) to show how I usually wear the dress in the summer.
