WIW: Gray/White & Cream

I've realized that lately I have really been enjoying tone on tone outfits. The 2 below are just a couple that I've worn this past week.

Pics 1 and 2: Gray! (Yep, of course my hair is flipping up and out in the back - no matter how much "glue" I put on it, it always manages to spring free!)
Pics 3 and 4: White and Cream. First pic is wih top tucked in - didn't like it because the rise is too high. So ended up wearing the 2nd pic.

(Am so frustrated with my camera - can't figure out how to focus! I need a photography lesson!)

Good grief, Marley - you are killing me with fabness. That first outfit is a dream come true, and the second one is a beautiful incarnation of whites. Cream is obviously the color du jour!

Wow, both of those outfits are really gorgeous, but I particularly love the first one. It's so simple but still so stylish! I love the texture of the shirt.

Love how you've embraced white.

I enjoy tonal dressing too. Today, I'm wearing faded blue BF jeans with fuzzy light blue pullover, white belt, and white Beatle booties. All tonal for indoors. I guess I changed it up once outside when I added my pink man coat and citron clutch. Pink and blue outfits make me think of you Marley - so I called this my Marley-Outfit.

Fabulous!! WOW. Okay, I want to wear my slouchy jeans just like you. Except it's almost impossible for me to get them to fit like that. Sigh.

I love, love, love both of these outfits. And I love tonal dressing, too. Denise taught me the secret. She does it well and now you are rivalling her in brilliance.

So tell us which jeans those are (in both). Thank you.

Love the tone on tone, whether it's grey or cream, Marley. It's both edgy and serene and I like that. You look great and it's fun to see you posting a lot more these days. We are no longer boot twins, as I had to return them due to a very weird clicking sound within the heel of the right boot. I literally took a video of me making the sound and the SA at Nordstrom FI and I were laughing about it. Your boot choices are always so perfect and your camera seems fine here.

Ceit - I can't wait to see your gray "copy." Gray is one of your best colors, so I'm sure that you will accomplish the look just fine!
Jackie - the top in #1 is a lace t-shirt type of blouse that I got from H&M last summer. I got this one in gray and another one in cream - and they have been workhorses in my wardrobe ever since!
Angie - thank you for the killer rating - just made my evening!!!! Also, I'm happy that you think of me whenever you wear pink or blue - because, you know, I think of you everytime that I put on something white or cream! So glad that you introduced me to the fabulous possibilities of these colors! Your outfit that you wore today sounds like you were really rocking the blues! I've been looking for a blue cropped sweater and haven't been able to find one yet. Glad, also, to hear that your mancoat got some love today
Suz - the light gray jeans in the first outfit are American Eagle Super Stretchy Jeggings (I know!) - Vicki, Rae, Una, (and perhaps others that I don't know about) and I all have them and we all love them! So very, very comfy and easy to wear. We all sized up in them at least one size - if I remember correctly Rae and Vicki both went up 2 sizes (don't know about Una) and I just went up one size - Rae and Vicki were with me, and they convinced me that the next size up was just not working! The white ones are Banana Republic white skinny ankle. I am not sure about them, but I ripped the tags off today and so I guess that I'm keeping them! They are made up of 99% cotton and 1% spandex - very nice quality - and they would probably fit you more like a skinny than they do me. I am thinking about taking in the legs - they just are a little too wide for me (I think!)
Vicki - so nice to "see" you on the forum! What boots are you talking about? - the Pettys? or the Jeffrey Campbells? Wish I could have seen that video!!!

Marley, I so admire your style and especially love the tonal outfits. The booties with the white jeans are especially gorgeous with that outfit. It's hard to believe that the grey are jeggings but they look perfect for you.

I am very jealous of your short sleeves as I sit here bundled in sweaters and thermals. I really like the lighter colors on you, so the white and cream outfit is my favorite. Especially those cut out booties, what a fun shoe! Have you tried swapping the two tops here, could be fun for an outfit remix.
