I could have sworn I dressed more colorfully than this, but I suppose this is why taking daily outfit pictures is a good exercise. It shows how I really dress versus how I think I dress.

#1 is from Wednesday - I went grocery shopping and made two trips to the post office. At the grocery check-out, I got a lovely compliment from the cashier who asked me to please always use his lane because he appreciates "nice-looking well-dressed people" like me. I thought that was sweet. Me-made skirt, Aquatalia Rhumba boots, LLBean fair-isle sweater (worn over an undershirt and with a silk scarf at the neck because this sweater is a bit scratchy, but very warm so totally worth it.)

#2-3 is from Thanksgiving - we took a day trip to Trier, which is supposed to be one of the oldest cities in Germany. They have a really neat Christmas market and plenty of very walkable shopping streets. (And a really cool yarn store, too.) I wore me-made pants, LLBean cashmere crew, Nordstrom scarf, and Ecco booties. In #3 you can see how I wrapped up warmly in my winter coat and hat. The coat is 11 years old and I hope it never wears out because I love it. I also wore gloves when we were outside but they didn't make it into the picture.

#4 is from today - we were out and about, but the temperature was in the mid-40's and we were mostly dashing from the car into the building and back so no coat necessary. I did make sure I was dressed plenty warmly, though - me-made long-sleeved dress, BR ribbed merino cardigan, custom hand-painted scarf, fur collar, and the Aquatalia boots again.

I picked up two new custom hand-painted scarves from the post office today, both featuring lime green, so those will be added to the rotation shortly. I can't wait to wear them.
