WIW: Go team wear! (Converse Hi-nesses)

Got my grey Hi-Nesses in the mail last night and I just had to wear them today! (Obviously no K/R required...) For their first outing I paired them with a flouncy mini skirt and black top, plus my gold Ginkgo pendant. The Cons are super comfy so far, and somehow the little baby wedge makes all the difference in foot flattery and comfort when compared to regular flat Cons.

Last photo is yesterday's WIW, a simple combo of jersey skirt and handknit lacy top. The skirt is super old (probably almost 10 years) and should probably be replaced but it has that trumpet hem which is my favorite style ever, and I can't find any skirts with that hem in stores right now.

1-3: BR top, Anthro skirt, Converse Hi-Ness sneakers, Etsy necklace by way of YLF secret santa Caro, and AE denim jacket
4: handknit top, Uniqlo layering tank, BCBG skirt, Naot sandals

I completely agree with you on the small wedge heel and comfort factor of these Converse, Diana. Go Team Wear!-) They look wonderful paired with that playful skirt (fun colours and pattern). The second outfit is absolutely gorgeous, wow!! Love the blue of the sheer top and sandals paired with the black, and the white tank underneath makes it look so fresh. You look so fab with your hair down too.

As for the hi-ness -- high-five!! I love them, too, and find exactly what you do. I absolutely can't wear regular flat Cons. But these? Fun and comfy!

Very cute! I've been trying to decide what color Cons to get; I've been leaning toward gray. So I'm happy to see how great they look on you! I think that color will be the most wearable in my wardrobe.

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad you all like the handknit top - I've been waiting all winter to wear it again. I'm thinking maybe I should make another - similar material and shape but different lace pattern maybe.

Shannon, you know it's the fault of everyone's fab WIWs here that I ended up with these Cons. After I saw how fab they were in everyone's outfits and how they didn't make anyone's feet look big, I was totally sucked in. I bet you'd love them too!

Karie, I just got home after wearing them all day and my feet are happy! So I'd say, yes, 8 hour shoes! They are narrow though, which is perfect for me (I can loosen the laces at the very front enough on my bunion foot that it doesn't get irritated) but wide feet might not like them as much.

Love those gray Cons - I have the white ones, but wish I would have gotten the gray ones instead - and I agree with you that they are very comfy 8 hour shoes. I am in awe of the 2nd outfit - absolutely beautiful. I love the color of the sweater!

If you're looking for trumpet or bubble hems, you might get lucky with a online French retailer. They usually have those... hmm... more romantic cuts. This one, named Laredoute, even deliver in the US.
