WIW: Fun with maxis - YouLookFab Forum

I have become absolutely obsessed with maxi skirts. I used to really not like them a few years back, but I don't know what happened. I'm at a grand total of 5 now and I wish I had my own office already so I could wear them to work. xD

#1 is a new one I picked up because of the slits on both sides. I find it fantastically bold and geometric and amazonian and thought of annagybe when I saw it! It's actually sheer with a miniskirt length lining underneath, but you totally can't see that in this photo.

#2 I picked up at the Gap for really cheap and I thought I'd share while taking photos for a blog post. I love love love the colour and its proven to be a lot more versatile than I would ever give hot pink credit for.

Note: I never actually wore these outside of my bedroom so not a real WIW. I just haven't dressed up too much recently due to living in scrubs for 6 weeks, but I am hoping for a return to form now that I'm no longer on a surgical rotation!

Hope you have a chance to wear these out and about! I'm resistant to maxi dresses -- to much like nightgowns -- but I think you are styling these really beautifully and I'm sure you would have a lot of fun wearing them out and about.

Thank you everyone! I have become newly motivated to dress better since I'm not at the hospital all the time now (we'll see if that lasts) so I hope to create some awesome outfits to share with all of you.

@Beth Ann: I love wearing maxis and especially hi-lo skirts when there's a bit of a breeze outside-- it feels like you've got your very own wind machine. xD Thank you for the kind words!

@Deborah: Thank you! I try to generally stay away from more bohemian styling and go for a minimalist/colour blocking look for something more edgy.

@Kiwichik: I'll post when I finally get to go outside in the sunshine. xD
