WIW: fuchsia and microchecks for a frigid day

Today I'm wearing the fuchsia twin of my cobalt Tinley Road blazer, which I picked up in the recent piperlime sale. Paired with my wool microcheck pants and tall patent boots, because it is super cold today! (It's 15 degrees Fahrenheit right now at noon.... brr.)

Wore the blazer open because i wanted to show more of the necklace, but I like it both open and closed. I'm excited to finally have a warm colored blazer!

Ooh, I'm loving how the pants bunch a little over the boots. Interesting because I'm sure I once thought of that as a faux pas, but slouch is just. so. cool. to me now.

Rae, I know, right? A couple of years ago, I remember always trying SO HARD to get rid of the bunching over the top of my boots, and now I want more of it! I've even stopped tucking my pants into my socks under the boots.

Hmm, your fab tucking job here makes me wonder if any of my trousers could be successfully tucked. Probably not, I think they're too wide-legged. They are languishing unworn as I always go for jeans instead!

I have that same blazer in three colors: Green, red and cream. I love the heavy knit.

Love this look --- and I, too, like a little ease in the pants above the boots! I like the jacket open with this necklace, and the color is divine --- what makes the blazer seem perfect for you. I would shorten the sleeves a tad when you get the chance.

Janet, these pants are pretty slim. I'm not sure it would work with wider trousers, but I might try one of these days just for fun.

Zap, haha between you and me I think we have the whole color range of this blazer (except for black). I noticed that they have new (not on sale) colors now too.

Aida, I'm very into the equestrian look these days. Secretly I want to be a British Prep on my country estate. Never mind that I don't know how to ride a horse!

Suz, here is the link to the blazer. As she mentioned above, Zap has it too and so does Tanya although she hasn't been posting lately. I highly recommend it, it's so comfy and still warm, and the price is very good. It comes in a ton of colors. Mine are indigo and raspberry radiance. I got a teeny bit of pilling on both of mine right at the beginning, but it shaved off and didn't pill after that. As for sizing, I sized up since some reviews said the arms run tight. I probably could fit into my regular size though (although I didn't try), so I'd say it depends on how much ease you want. I like the slightly looser look and that I can button it even with layers underneath. One thing to note is that the arms are long - I have pretty long arms and I like my jacket sleeves to be slightly too long so I am happy with it, but others might need or want to shorten them.
