WIW from my Pinterest board - YouLookFab Forum

Hey, just a couple of outfits from this week, for which I took inspiration from my Pinterest board. Not exact copies - Pinterest my way!

1\2. Cream coat on cream sweater. Mine aren't quite cream, but different tones of light beige. Also, I haven't had time to update my booties post, but I did land on the Blondos because they were the right amount of dressy, weatherproof, and when I looked in person were a darker taupe than the website showed.

3/4. Ok the Pinterest photo is a little bougier than mine - note the YSL bag vs. my thrifted find But I surprisingly love this combo of layered shirts on top and athletic "flared leggings" as the youths call them (or what I lovingly know as yoga pants). The beauty of this combo too, as well as the next one, is that I only have to swap out half the outfit and I'm ready for my Pilates or yoga practice in the evening. #lazy

5/6. A bit boring, but the Pinspiration had me pull out this old deep green lightweight sweatshirt. I added a bit of contrast and silver accents to make it more interesting.

Very nice adaptations! Pinterest your own way is the way to do it. Those creamy beiges on you are beautiful. Love the proportions in the second outfit, and the dark green with silver and denim is a lovely combination.

My pinterest images are full of wool jackets and giant scarves I never need in my hot climate, so a fantasy life...

I keep up several Pinterest boards, and absolutely take outfit inspiration from my picks. Not so much for new acquisitions, but for ideas on how to style what I already own.

All excellent, particularly the deep green top with silver accents. I also keep a hundred or so pins for colors and combinations and scroll through them regularly for inspiration. I use the Outfit Generator (tm) the same way.

Funny, I wore that green BR top yesterday! It has lasted quite a while, and still in good shape. It’s a good weight for transitional weather.

Jam, it really is a good top - I have it in black also. I almost editted it out because I feel like I've had it for so long and worn it so much .... but it's so comfy and just polished enough (but still works for yoga too!)

These are all great, Helena. I have similar flared yoga leggings. I find them very versatile. I like the way you have styled yours.
I collect lots of inspiration on Pinterest, but I don't often do more than that. Maybe that will change.

I don’t use a Pinterest board. Not quite sure where I get my ideas? I think mainly what’s available at retail that taps into what I’ve liked in the past- I remember first really liking something at age 13, so a memory trove of everything I’ve ever liked since then?

I especially like the first outfit! I'll look at Pinterest but haven't done my own boards yet. My strategy is more wardrobe capsules than individual outfit inspiration though.
