Finally got a chance to wear my Kut from the Kloth white skinnies. I know they got mixed reviews here, but this is a case where I believe the photos do not do me justice. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. So there!

What convinces me? Well, Mr. Suz LOVES these pants (after initially turning up his nose at the very thought of white jeans) and I got two compliments from sales assistants in clothing stores today on my outfit. Oh! And they are SUPER comfortable. So I figure they must look better in person than in pictures.

Worn with my new UNIGLO linen shirt (another New York purchase). That, my friends, is a semi tuck; the back is out. (Waving to Claire!)

Also wearing my new BP cami, my new Report booties (still LOVE) and outside I also had on my AT navy jacket (not shown). Oh - and some fun kids' pearls from China. Plus my now-much-beloved yellow bag that gets compliments everywhere I go and that I love as much as anything I own. Said by someone who isn't even a bag lady. Imagine!!

This outfit was a 10 on the happiness scale.(Thanks, Jayne!) It felt right for a sunny spring Friday.

You look so awesome in this outfit, Suz. This has to be my favorite casual outfit on YLF. It doesn't seem like it would be hard to get right, but on observation there are all these little details and perfection of color, fit, etc that make a huge difference. Look at you--you are justified to be beaming!

Hey there Suz, YOU LOOK FAB! I love your white jeans and linen outfit, so classic and fresh for spring. That pearl necklace is so pretty and delicate. You have achieved a super-long leg line with the Report booties and the semi tuck, nice job! I love the yellow bag next to your blue shirt too. Yum. But what, pray tell, does BP (in cami) stand for? *scratching head* British Petroleum? Banana Perublic? Bettie Page? Anyhoo, it's so good to see you post, and I can understand why your happiness is a 10!

Great styling of white jeans and the light bootie looks very good with them. The blue linen shirt and yellow hag are so pretty together, just like daffodils and blue sky.

Claire, Cinnamon Fern is right: BP is the Nordstrom juniors' brand and this is an Angie recommended cami. Very comfy. Nice material and great price. Comes in many colours.

Daffodils and blue sky, San - how poetic! And that was what the day was like here. Lots of blue and yellow outside. Besides daffodils we have forsythia blooming everywhere. I was matchy-matchy with the world.

Meredith, an orange bag must be wonderful, too! I am thrilled with how much fun a bright bag is. Claire already discovered this with her dye-it-herself turquoise and I had been watching her sport that for months with more than a twinge of envy when I found this yellow one. It was very inexpensive. A starter bag, so I could see how I felt about carrying something so bright. Well, now I know.

Mellllls, I hear you on an untucked top. I actually wore it untucked in the house, but with the jacket over top it looked better this way. Shirttails hanging below the jacket in the front just didn't work. Sorry, should have posted a pic WITH the jacket.

And ....confession time. I am VERY wary of untucked tops, unless they end around my high hip. Those that end lower can be very tough for me to wear. Tunics are a disaster. My legs are short, my torso is long, and an untucked top can bisect me in half if the contrast is great, like here. So although I know it's not the most popular look, I often tuck, even into skinnies. On me, the proportions tend to work better.

I agree with you Sarah, though - I could have used a belt here. I don't have a light neutral one. Must put that on my shopping list. One the colour of the booties would be great, wouldn't it?

YOWZA!!! Everything about this is right Suz - the crisp colour combination of blue, white and yellow screams of Spring; the proportions are absolutely perfect with the tuck and the Report booties doing their job; and the fit of those Kut & Kloth white skinnies is a 10 out of 10. This is a smashing casual look for you and I think I might adore your yellow bag just about as much as you do!

I love the yellow bag with the blue shirt and white jeans! It all looks so crisp, modern and spring-y. I'm really gravitating towards yellow this spring but I can't wear it near my face - it makes me look pink (and not in a good way). I think I'm going to start searching for a yellow bag.

Amy, I think there was some concern about the back view. (Notice I don't show it, he heh). A few people suggested I size up. But I couldn't have, and kept them on. And on consideration, I felt reasonably confident that the back view was better than it looked in the photos. Hubby had taken those pics from his full height towering above me, making my legs look shorter and there was also something wonky about the side angle. I know how I feel in badly fitting jeans and these didn't feel like that.

love, love, LOVE this color combo! Too FAB! Even though I didn't really like them initially I also didn't give them a fair shake - I never got to try them on in my size. So, I've actually re-ordered them.

I think the thing that brings this outfit to perfection is the sand-color booties. So right on!

ETA - what about a cream snakeskin belt?

Suz, you look smashing! I now have linen shirt (chambray-coloured but cooler!) envy as well as bag envy. Such a very pretty necklace too. Just the right spoonful of sweetness to sprinkle on a dashing casual unisex get-up.

And while you were matching the sky and forsythias, did you notice you were matching the address by your door? I'm thinking emerald *green*, mm-hmm! (ETA: for the belt! I'm under-caffeinated, clearly :-/)

Seriously, though, you look pretty unbeatable. I'd love to clean up half as nice.
