WIW: Forgot Fuschia Friday, so Light Brite and K/R Dassia boots

My brain is so scrambled! Spelling tests this morning, then office, then home for fridge delivery. Found these boots and my new SKI HELMET! WITH BONUS EARWARMERS! on the doorstep.

Anyone remember Lite Brite? I'm wearing light (grey) and bright (citron), though I don't think my Lite Brite had either of those colors. Citron cashmere sweater, new American Eagle light grey skinnies (wanted grey skinnies but didn't want to splurge, and these were $24), and DV booties.

The Dassia boots are comfortable but a totally different color than the Nordstrom site picture. More like the far boot than the near one in the last pic. Heel height is 2.5 inches at the back. I'm sure I will RATE them up in no time, but how do they look?

Ooh, bright and pretty. Love the outfit. Totally digging the boots. They look RATE and fab on you. The buckles are awesome and it looks like the color is darker at the toe (which I love.) Are they all day comfy? They look like they would work with lots of things--a nice dark, rich brown to play with your other clothes. I bet they will even work with skirts/dresses. LOVE!

ETA: That is way cooler than my helmet. DH says I look like Kazoo in mine--or a storm trooper. LOL!

I used to love Lite Brite! And I love the color of your sweater, and those boots are fabulous! That's also a great price for the grey skinnies

:o) I never would have thought of combining yellow and grey before YLF. I really like the boots, although I seem to recall that you were looking more for a tonal cognac. I hope they will work well with your wardrobe anyway.

JR, I was actually looking for a darker cognac, but these are more of a red-brown (not burgundy - more like saddle colored?)... I have a pair of cognac cowboy boots but never seem to be able to match them to anything properly. These may bookend more easily. On the other hand, they may be too similar to my burgundy Doc Martens....

Yes, yellow and grey is YLF inspired for sure!

Love grey and yellow together, and you totally rock it. The shot of the ski helmet with the earwarmers is priceless. The boots look awesome, and I hope they'll work with lots of things in your closet.

OOH. Really like the boots! Probably more useful than a lighter cognac when you need to bookend. Can bookend orange, copper, and also bookends with your skintone pretty well. I also am super intrigued by this very light gray denim - seems like a great alternative to white denim, which doesn't seem to love me back.

How tall is the heel on those boots IRL? I get an extra % off at Nordies today, lol.

Omigosh - I LOVED Lite-Brite! You look fab in that bright colour and I like it with the lighter jeans.

Boots are cool - love the buckles and I actually like the reddier colour.Are they comfy?

Rae, I'm liking the light grey a lot - you're right, it is a white alternative (at least for me!). The heel on these boots is 2.5 inches measured at the back of the shoe. The shaft is a tiny bit wider than I'd like, and the buckles are not adjustable. Plus they are very close in style to my burgundy Docs, so i'm wondering if they are redundant or if an additional color will be useful...
