Soooo. Hey all. Thought I would join in and start WIWing for 2014...
We went to a casual party at the home of some friends, which didn't call for high glam. Much of my wardrobe has been thrifted over the years, and this ensemble was no exception. Items:
- Thrifted peridot velvet top tagged "hb" (maybe Harvé Benard?)
- Thrifted gray skirt (The Limited)
- Gray tights (no tag)
- Miz Mooz Oakley boots in "khaki" (olive green really)
- Jewelry: old faceted crystal sphere earrings, unmarked vintage flea-marketed aurora borealis and gray rhinestone necklace, my everyday silver chain bracelets (all flea-marketed), vintage flea-market A/B crystal bead bracelet.
Top and skirt I've had since the early 2000s. The jewelry I picked up in the late 90s to early 2000s. When I say I shop my closet, I am true to my word. Heh. Boots and tights are pretty new though.
Now, I am no expert at selfie pix...got to remember to pull up the darn camera strap. But at least my photo looks like a Dutch Master (with frame and darkness behind, heh) next to my husband's shadowy one...
When I modeled the outfit for the husband, I said, "Maybe this is a little too Star-Trekky?"
And he sez, "There's no such thing as 'too Star-Trekky.'" Hahaha! Okay then...he's so cute. <3
