WIW for NAS Returns and Testing Booties

I ordered 3 pairs of the Donald Pliner snake pattern loafers and all 3 slipped at the heel to some degree. No surprise. No one can accuse me of not trying. Next! But I had to return them along with a black pair of perforated booties and a few other NAS items. Meanwhile, a Fabber pm’d me asking about my (tan) perforated booties so this outfit was born. The kerchief on my bag started off around my neck but then I got hot. When I got home I changed into sandals because I was wearing SmartWool footies.

Aw, I'm bummed the Pliners didn't work out for you!

I'm a little concerned that when the weather cools my feet might slip out of the heels more -- but I do have some good invisible socks that may help with that.

I like those patterned pants! Who makes those?

The plaid jeans are from NYDJ, 3% spandex but hardly stretch at all and seem more like all cotton. I must have bought them before I figured out Finds.

These lug soled loafers in black leather and suede were just marked down and are on their way to me. Not optimistic, but still trying. . .

Nice outfit! How do the wool sockies fit? Does the elastic bind or perhaps not if you have low volume feet which is definitely not my case?

Joyce B: The elastic sometimes binds a little by the end of the day when my feet have swollen a bit. IIRC, SmartWool comes in sizes or at least doesn't claim to fit as wide a range as other brands. I also have the lower cut ones. Maybe start a separate thread asking about SmartWool experiences?

suntiger: Yes, so-o-o-o many Fabbers complain of having narrow heels and having trouble with slip-on shoes I would imagine a fortune could be made. Maybe that why athletic shoes have become so popular? Usually they can be laced so they don't slip at the heels.

I shudder to think what my closets would look like if I had easy to fit, non-fussy feet. . .Would folks nickname me Imelda?
