I guess it wasn’t exactly the first day, but Monday 5 January was the first day after the “holiday break” that I am not going to work at all for the week and not logging in online to check any results. I also don’t know if I may do some work elsewhere again after January is over. Yesterday because my husband was back to work I felt retired! He is selling his vet clinic too but may do some work after the sale for the new owner. So we can’t make big travel plans as yet.
I haven’t let go of my work identity yet. It may take a while.
I wore this to my favourite small mall where I browsed stores, dropped off “soft plastics” for recycling, and bought cream/raspberries to make a special dessert called a “lemon posset” to take out to friends for dinner, wearing the same outfit.
Pic 1: one of my older tunics, 2017, 36 wears now, I didn’t buy many more tunics in the years since. White cropped pants and new sparkly red sandals which make me so happy.
Pic 2: closeup, think the poinsettia earrings (and matching brooch) were from an earlier Canadian trip for Christmas 2009.
Pic 3: lemon posset, so easy just cream, caster sugar and lemon zest/juice. Later raspberries and sliced strawberries were put on top. Yum, and although fattening not too bad as small volume!
