I've assisted my boss the last two days in conducting interviews for a position within our department and today, I'm being interviewed for a different position I applied for in our department. It's a more casual one-on-one interview and did not require a suit. So I'm taking the opportunity to debut a new jacket I purchased a few weeks ago.

I fell HARD for this collarless, tuxedo-style, cut-away inspired jacket. The back and sleeves are black and then the front has this lovely graffiti-esque pattern in silk. I love collarless jackets in that they work very well for my short neck and can actually make my top half look a bit longer. I've shown it with the sleeves scrunched but of course will wear the sleeves full length for the interview.

I've paired the jacket with a purple silk tank underneath to pull out the purple tones in the print of the jacket, and have added simple black trousers. I also bought these trousers last week as my other black ones were simply too big. I do still have my Editors but am not sure I still love the very wide legs. Will have to play with them when I have some time.

I wanted to wear my black patent Ara booties but they have lining that just makes them too warm yet - probably good for next week when our temperatures begin to plummet. So instead I chose my cobalt suede booties.

Handbag is my trusty old black and white leather one and just my wedding ring and a rose gold ring for jewelry.

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.
