WIW for Jason Bourne and possible haircut

Here's a pic from this weekend when we went to the movies - which, by the way: this film must have had a two-page script as it was really one long action sequence that basically put me to sleep. Anyway...

Wore my Pilcro cropped flares, red JCrew ballet flats, and EFrye top. And froze!!! We had one cold damp evening in the midst of the heat wave and I was freezing both in and out of the movie theater (the little scarf I brought for warmth was not enough).

Also, stalked the sweet waitress at our local burger joint because I loved her hair. I've been thinking about a sleeker look for the fall, something that feels perhaps a bit more done. I've also just about had it with the long bang in my face. Just need to avoid looking like a news anchor which is probably a styling issue. What are your thoughts? (Was happy to learn that she and I go to the same offbeat hair salon in a neighboring town.)

Looks cute! I'm sorry you froze. I hate when the movie theater is so cold that I can't enjoy the movie. I like the waitresses hairstyle and think it would look good on you.

Boo to freezing theaters, I always make sure to bring one of my leather jackets because of how coooold they are. Red shoes are super fun with this outfit. Waitress's hair is cute though the bangs look about as long as yours are now?

Thanks for that point, Aida. You might be right. I thought she had some shorter pieces that were swooped into the main part, but maybe the big difference is in the shorter side and back. While I can't change my length right now, I may be able to approximate the look with styling, which I will try tomorrow, just for fun.

I also find movie theatres cold. My latest film was "Absolutely Fabulous" as a fundraiser - very silly and fun, but no great plot. The International Film Festival starts this week and I plan to get tickets to a few.

My hair is a little similar to your waiter, I am enjoying it although it does fall in my face a little. I think it would suit you.

Sally, I think your face is so perfect for this cut. Mine may look too narrow when pulled back behind the ears. You can tell me tomorrow when I try it on for size. (Small head problems.)

And let me know what films you see! We have a film festival in September -- it's called "Telluride by the Sea" because the founders were involved with Telluride in CO -- and we get great films here. They haven't released the list yet, but I'm anxious to plan my viewing. I'd love to see if there is anything on it that you see first!

I always bring a sweater to places that have a/c in summer. I think that your inspo person has a bit of an Emma Watson look. I think you could do it if you're comfortable with all the bones of your face showing (I always feel a little droopy so I'm hiding under the hair).

We JUST re-watched all the Bourne movies to get the most out of the next one. Very fun. I love long story arcs.

As for the hair inspiration pic, I like the look from the side, but don't think it will look that great from the front. Your current style is much better.

I love the shoes with this outfit. And I hear you about being cold in theaters - I always bring a sweater or denim jacket because I know I'll freeze otherwise.

Are your bangs long enough to tuck behind your ears now? It looks like the waitresses are, so you might have to grow yours out even more. I just got my longer, side swept bangs cut into shorter, jagged ones that go straight across or I can push them to the side if I want to. The longer bangs were annoying me because they kept curling on the end.

I wish I knew how to keep hair falling in my face, the waitress put hers behind her ear apparently which is not an option for me, since I wear glasses.

I literally bring a cashmere blanket with me into movie theatres. I can't stand to be freezing! And can I tell you how AWESOME those cropped flares look on you? Your making me want to try them out, even though I know I'm too hippy. Look forward to seeing your 'new' hair - I love gamine on you.

Great outfit - I love the red shoes. Maybe I'll avoid this movie - long action sequences put me to sleep too (except in Mad Max: Fury Road - that was one long action sequence too but I was fascinated by that movie).

Sounds like it was bad inside of the theater. I always go prepared now. Big slubby wool sweaters I keep in the trunk of my car. For a restaurant also. it is bad like they are trying to freeze you out.
