Today, J. took me out for high tea at the Taj Boston for an early birthday celebration. I wanted to look nice but had to contend with the fact that it was 15F out and the sidewalks are covered in patches of ice and crusts of salt, which meant that things like floor-grazing trousers and delicate shoes were out. Situations like this are exactly what I bought the Blondo boots for. Paired with some heattech leggings, they kept me warm enough that I was able to wear a skirt! This is the first outing of my striped knit pencil skirt this winter; I really must make an effort to wear it more often. I paired it here with my teal peplum shell, Bellatrix jacket, and my black suede bag. The bag does not get out very often as it is not very practical (being suede, hard to open and close, and not very roomy) but I still love its rich look.
