As I've intimated elsewhere life right now is a balance of good stress (new job) and bad stress (ailing in-laws). Have been ping-ponging between the two. YLF is my pleasant break where I can disconnect between those two realities and talk about clothes and ogle clothes I might want to buy and admire all you wonderful fashionable ladies. Which takes my mind off of everything else for a little while. Seems frivolous but it's keeping me sane. Thank you.
Here's two WiW's for work... unfortunately all I've got are bathroom selfies...

The Coach bag I'd been eyeing for awhile, I finally bit. This is going to be my alternative to my usual white go-to bag for spring/summer. I usually don't do pink. But I fell in love with this. And so far it's validated itself, it's perfect size to fit everything I want to lug around, with lots of pockets to keep it all organized. My theory is that it'll work with any outfit I might normally want a white bag. In practice that's what I'm aiming for, but it's still a bit of a challenge for me since I look at it and think... hmmm... it's PINK ...especially right now, since it's still rather cold out. For example, I wonder if it is too matchy matchy with that blouse, and also with my current go-to Bernardo metallic puffer, and finding a scarf that'll tie it all together is huge challenge. I could use suggestions here!!!
The BR trouser jeans..... I'd posted about these elsewhere. I kept both the 25S and the 26P's. I washed and dried both, twice, to get all the shrinkage out. And wound up with a 25S I cannot even zip. I don't think I can return them, so I've tucked them away for now, since I know my weight is on high side due to stress/winter so maybe I'll fit in them eventually, maybe not.
Meanwhile the 26P's which I thought were too loose and needed hemming shrunk to a nearly perfect size. I know you can't see in this picture -- sorry best I can do right now--- but I wore them all day and did not futz with them. They did not stretch much at all throughout the day either, so washing/drying got nearly all the shrinkage out. There's no need at all to hem them -- though when I rec'd them they were 1-2 inches too long. Not anymore. That is a LOT of shrinkage, which is frustrating, when trying to determine K/R!!!! But I am happy now. They are PPL, you may be able to tell in pic 5... they are gracefully long, practically touching the floor.
That said, they aren't uber-cool trouser jeans like Tanya's, but for work, they will totally suffice. This was the look I was going for. Conservative enough, with a bit of trendiness in the shoes peaking out...
I'm going on and on now... pardon me for that. I will say the last week or so, I have realized just how important it is for me to feel comfortable in my clothes. Not just appropriate to the occasion, and feeling nice against my skin/not futzy, but also there is the control side of things. As I told my husband tonight, when there's so much stress going on (good OR bad), clothes are the one thing I can control, and that makes me feel I can handle anything thrown my way.
I have to laugh at these crappy pics but it was totally therapeutic for me to take them, and now share them with such lovely women who I suspect will understand what I am saying here!
