WIW for a spring equinox zoom

I’m part of the leadership committee for a local creative group that gathers four times a year to watch our peers present their current projects for feedback and Q&A. The group has been meeting without fail for over twelve years now (I’ve been involved for the past 4 or so), and our streak is unbroken thanks to Zoom meetings.

We meet tonight, so I’m dressing for the event — well, at least from the waist up! While I was sorting through my closet today, I reacquainted myself with this old BCBG tunic that I keep around, even though I don’t like how I look in tunics.
This one I make an exception for because I adore the print and the fit is good. It looks much better with slim pants, trust me. But for tonight, since no one will see my bottom half, I’m keeping on the boyfriend jeans I’ve been wearing all day (the new COH Emerson’s, which I am in love with), and of course my fuzzy slippers.

I put on some makeup and statement resin hoop earrings for a change.

Happy spring to all those in the northern hemisphere, and happy autumn to those in the southern!

SO pretty !! I remember this tunic - because I had that print in a tank top version . Loved it . No idea what happened to it but it looks far better on you than it ever did on me ( colours were wrong for me which I only now recognize ) Great ring too ! I’m loving my mid rise BF jeans lately too . Get away from me with all this high waisted stuff

Lisa, you and I will hoard all the mid rise BF jeans! I even thought about having this tunic made into a shorter top, but the print is too nice to cut off.

That tunic is worth keeping in your lineup. I really like it with these jeans. It’s just so much fresher after that other, more standard profile having been pounded into our heads for a decade. I mean, wear the other silhouette if/when you like, but there is no reason to think it’s the only game in town. This is great.

Thanks, everyone! I know the tunic with boyfriend jeans is not as conventionally flattering as my usual choices, but I think I could actually see wearing this in public if I added some high-shaft heeled booties. I never would have thought to pair the tunic with roomy jeans so this was a lucky fluke.

The zoom event went great. The presenters were inspiring and I think everyone who attended had fun!

It's a simply amazing top and it looks fabulous on you! The colors and print are so harmonious with your eye color and hair. And I think it works really well with the Emerson jeans. P.S. If you look on the CoH website, you will see that they have some full-length Emersons, just in case you might be interested in such a thing :).

Jonesy, thanks for that tip! I did not know they made that cut in full length versions. Kinda wish I’d known that before I bought black and grey AG Harpers because I like the looser leg of the Emersons even more. Funny that I don’t even know which wash it is that I have in the Emersons. Part of me would like a light wash but I’m always a bit disappointed by how I look in light wash jeans — too much emphasis on the lower half.
